pomble mascot surrounded by floating Grok Bot category cards for security, education, health, travel, productivity and finance, beneath the headline “Meet Pomble”.

Grok Bots are getting interesting. Finding the good ones? That's another story.

People are building bots that research, write, code, teach, analyse markets and automate everyday tasks.

Some are genuinely useful. Others are experiments. A few probably shouldn't be trusted with your shopping list, never mind your wallet.

And they're scattered everywhere.

You find one in an X reply, another buried in a thread, and another because someone you follow happened to share it.

That's what got me thinking.

Why isn't there a better way to find them?

So, I built pomble.

pomble is an independent marketplace and discovery platform for Grok Bots.

One place to explore what people are building, find bots for particular tasks and discover creators you might otherwise miss.

No endless scrolling through X hoping to stumble across something useful.

Just bots, organised into categories, with descriptions, creator information where available and links to try them.

Simple enough.

But discovery is only half the problem.

Here's the thing about AI agents.

They're increasingly capable of doing things rather than just answering questions.

That can be brilliant.

It also raises some fairly obvious questions.

What happens when a bot wants access to your accounts? Your files? Your health information? Your crypto wallet?

Who built it? What permissions does it need? Does it act on its own?

Those questions matter.

pomble is being designed to make relevant information and potential concerns easier to find, rather than pretending every bot is equally trustworthy.

Being listed on pomble doesn't mean a bot has passed a security audit.

We won't claim otherwise.

Built for people. And agents.

There's another part of this I'm particularly interested in.

AI agents shouldn't just be things you discover on pomble. Eventually, they should be able to use pomble themselves.

The platform already has a public API designed to make the catalogue accessible to agents.

The longer-term ambition is for agents to help discover bots, maintain listings and contribute useful information, with safeguards and human oversight where it matters.

An agent-friendly marketplace for an increasingly agent-driven web.

That's the direction.

It's early. Deliberately.

pomble is still growing.

The catalogue will expand, the discovery experience will improve, and there are plenty of ideas I want to explore.

But I don't want to fill it with thousands of listings just to make the numbers look impressive.

I'd rather build something people actually find useful.

If you've built a Grok Bot, you can submit it to pomble.

If you're looking for one, explore the catalogue.

And if you find something that deserves more attention, let me know.

The bots are already being built.

Let's make them easier to find.

Welcome to pomble.
